The motivation would be to keep the 5.7 displacement (and MPG) while giving more on demand burst. I imagine this would include.

If you still want to use 5w20 oil that is originally recommended for the 5.7 Hemi engine, you may want to buy the original oil that is prepared by the engine producer. Other 5w20 oil types won't be as good for your Hemi engine. If you want to turn to 5w30 oil, just have a look at the codes written on the bottle.

It's turbo's are water cooled to help with longevity ( helps with the detrimental effects of 'hot' shut down's) Eco develops it's top TQ at 2500 rpm,,, Pretty close to where most people drive.
48. May 11, 2021. #1. My 2019 Ram 1500 with 5.7 with approximately 48k miles developed a ticking noise. It sounded like a exhaust leak, but as the engine heated up, it went away. The noise was quite loud. I thought it was an exhaust leak on the exhaust manifolds. Well I took it to the dealer and the tech thought the same thing.
